ABOUT US

Jason R. Davis

For Jason, it was that moot court competition in his ninth-grade civics class that sealed the deal. In the top of his class, he had the opportunity to play the prosecuting attorney. His law school was binge watching Law & Order episodes before binge-watching was a thing (thank goodness for TNT). He studied the file, presented his case, and won the trial. At 15, Jason was hooked and the law became his passion.

Jason followed high school with a degree in Political Science and Speech Communication from UA-Little Rock and then a Juris Doctorate from UA-Little Rock’s William H. Bowen School of Law. In between his undergraduate and law degrees, Jason worked for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Regulatory Compliance.

The law is not Jason’s only passion—he has a love for business, politics, research, and writing. Passions that culminate to make him a fierce advocate for his clients. By understanding business and politics, Jason has had the opportunity to consult with industry professionals, non-profits, and government entities to draft legislation before the Arkansas Legislature. His passion for research and writing has afforded him the ability to work with his clients through the appeals process, finding discrete areas of the law on which to present even the most tenuous of claims—because every client deserves to be heard.

From the first complaint in the trial court through to the last appeal, to even working to change the law, Jason represents his clients from beginning to end. He focuses his practice on business formation and litigation, contract disputes, appellate law, real estate law, and government relations.

Leah Ryals Jacobs

Growing up as the local pastor’s daughter, Leah had plenty of opportunities to see the difficulties people endured. Her parents often counseled those who were going through tough times, be it divorce, custody issues, losing a loved one, or money and business issues. When the opportunity to attend law school arose, Leah jumped in whole heartedly.  Her intent—to make a difference in the world by helping others in a slightly different way than her parents.

In law school, Leah focused on how best to help those who are dealing with tough situations, be they business or personal. Through many hours of study, successful passage of two bar exams (Texas and Arkansas), and many sleepless nights, her law career began.

Early on in her career, Leah worked with a manufacturing company in legal compliance, and advising on the various day-to-day legal issues that arise in running a business. Working as a corporate attorney for many years, Leah left to open her own practice in rural Arkansas. It was there that she developed her niche in helping businesses launch and succeed and helping to protect the assets of those business and their owners through tailored estate planning.

Leah had indeed found a way to make a difference in the world—through helping small business owners launch, grow, and protect their livelihoods. Leah joins the Davis Firm focusing her practice on business formation and planning, estate planning, real estate law, and probate.
